On Behalf of IAS Board, We would like to invite all of you & your loved ones to attend India day Mela which is scheduled on Saturday Aug 19th@ Sac State from 8am-6pm. This is largest gathering of local Indian community where we proudly celebrate India’s Independence Day. We’re expecting huge number of people to attend this event. Twenty five local regional & non profit organizations are partnering with us & supporting this event. Several major events are planned on same day: Blood donation drive, Cooking, Rangoli, Painting, Photography competition, Women Empowerment, College, Financial wealth seminars, California State Jobs, Parade, etc. We also have 30 regional & patriotic dances planned for main stage. We also have Severals food & vendor stalls. Our goal is to create “ Mela” ( Festival) type of atmosphere while promoting our cultural heritage & celebrating India’s Independence Day. Every supporting organization is requested to bring at least 100 members and float. Entry is free.
