The Indian Association of Sacramento (IAS) is a non profit organization that serves as the single platform to preserve the rich cultural heritage of India. At IAS, we aim to share and showcase the cultural beauty with our fellow citizens in the greater Sacramento area and keep the culture alive for future generations.
The IAS achieves this by teaming up and seeking cooperation of several other Indian Cultural Organizations. Throughout the year we promote our goals by hosting several events, especially the India Day celebrating Indian Independence on August 15th, 1947. We also participate in the relevant events organized by others. Everyone is always welcome to join our events celebrating humanity and culture, and enjoy this journey with us.

IAS is organizing annual 5K Walk/Run to promote peace and health in the community and raise funds for charities that support under-privileged children, destitute women and homeless female students.

🔥 A Heartfelt Donation to Support LA Wildfire Victims 🔥
In the wake of the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, the Indian Association of Sacramento (IAS) team is proud to have raised funds to support those affected. On 3/2/2025, IAS was honored to donate these funds to Angie Carmignani, Executive Director of the California Fire Foundation, an organization that works tirelessly to provide aid to victims and first responders.

💙 Your generosity has made this possible, and together we are helping rebuild lives, offer hope, and provide essential resources to those in need during this challenging time.

Let's continue to stand together, show compassion, and make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most. 🙏
